We created ParksCanadaHistory.com for individuals who are passionate
about the National Parks, National Historic Sites and National Marine
Conservation Areas of Canada. We hope this web site will help you learn
about the cultural history and natural resources of the national parks and
historic sites of Canada and the Parks Canada Agency.
The National Parks, Historic Sites and Marine Conservation Areas
present a Canadian cultural and natural history textbook a textbook
that educates us about the people, events, buildings, objects,
landscapes, and artifacts of Canada's past. Our goal is to offer
a window into the richness of the Canadian National Parks System by presenting
access to electronic editions of hard-to-find, long out-of-print, Parks
Canada publications, as published under its various names over its rich
100+ year history: Dominion Parks Branch, National Parks Branch, Parks
Canada Program, Canadian Parks Service, and the Parks Canada Agency.
ParksCanadaHistory.com was created for individuals who have a passion for
the national park idea. The site is managed by a long-time (U.S.) National
Park Service volunteer and lives in the Pacific Northwest.
Many thanks to our technical consultant: Dr. Alan
