Industrial and Agricultural Activities at Lower Fort Garry

Abstract
Industrial and agricultural activities which developed at Lower Fort
Garry between the 1850s and the 1870s included experimental farming,
boat building, brewing and distilling, and other activities involving
the construction of additional buildings in and near the fort. The
activities at the fort relating to provisioning and transportation are
discussed in detail during the height of their development.
