Fort Chambly National Historic Site of Canada is a square-shaped stone fortress strategically placed on the Richelieu River at Chambly, Québec. The present structure is the fourth fort to have been constructed on the same site. Four prominent corner bastions and high curtain walls protect accommodation and storage facilities arranged around a central courtyard. Strongly built of stone the fort also features bartizans, embrasures and muskets loopholes. The fort stands within a large waterside park.

Located near Montreal, Fort Chambly is a welcoming location that combines history and leisure. On site, you will find a fortification dating back to 1711 and an urban park offering a breathtaking view of the Richelieu River, as well as trails, a bicycle path and green spaces where you can relax.

Le lieu historique national du Canada du Fort-Chambly est une forteresse de pierre de forme carrée érigée stratégiquement sur la rivière Richelieu, à Chambly, au Québec. La structure actuelle est le quatrième fort construit sur le même emplacement. Quatre proéminents bastions de coin ainsi que de hautes murailles protègent les installations d’hébergement et d’entreposage disposé autour d’une cour centrale. Solidement construit en pierre, le fort comprend aussi des échauguettes, des embrasures et des meurtrières. Le fort se situe dans un grand parc riverain.

Situé près de Montréal, le Fort-Chambly est un site convivial jumelant histoire et villégiature. Sur place s'y trouvent une fortification datant de 1711 et un parc urbain offrant une vue imprenable sur la rivière Richelieu, des sentiers, une piste cyclable et des espaces verts invitant à la détente.
