McNabs Island is located at the entrance to Halifax Harbour, near Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. Fort McNab was built in the 1880s and was at one time the most powerful guardian of Halifax. It served as an important counter-bombardment battery in the two World Wars and was decommissioned in 1959.

L’île McNab est située à l’entrée du port d’Halifax, près d’Eastern Passage, en Nouvelle-Écosse. Le Fort McNab a été construit dans les années 1880 et était à une époque le plus puissant gardien d’Halifax. Il a servi d’importante contre-batterie pendant les deux guerres mondiales et a été désaffecté en 1959.
