Carrying Place of the Bay of Quinte National Historic Site is located on the isthmus at the west end of the Bay of Quinte on Lake Ontario. The site, at the intersection of the Trenton and Carrying Place roads, marks the location where Sir John Johnson and the Chiefs of the Mississauga negotiated a treaty in 1787. The site is comprised of a small plot of land owned by Parks Canada containing a solitary Historic Sites and Monuments Board cairn and plaque.

Le lieu historique national du Portage-de-la-Baie-de-Quinte est situé sur l’isthme à l’ouest de la baie de Quinte sur le lac Ontario. C’est à cet endroit, à l’intersection des routes de Trenton et de Carrying Place, que sir John Johnson et les chefs des Mississaugas ont négocié un traité en 1787. Le lieu comprend un petit terrain appartenant à l’agence Parcs Canada sur lequel se trouvent un cairn et une plaque commémorative de la Commission des lieux et monuments historiques.
