Located west of Montreal, the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal connects Lake Saint-Louis and Lake des Deux-Montagnes. Opened in 1843, this waterway played an important commercial role in the shipping of lumber and the transport of immigrants. Today, the canal is used primarily by recreational boaters. À l'ouest de Montréal, le canal de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue relie le lac Saint-Louis au lac des Deux-Montagnes. Ouverte en 1843, cette voie d’eau a joué un rôle commercial important pour le transport de matériaux et pour le transit des immigrants. Aujourd'hui, le canal accueille les plaisanciers.
